You may be itching to write that novel but it can be difficult to find the space and time to do it. Our holidays take place in beautiful locations, specially chosen for their inspirational settings, and will provide you with the perfect environment to really focus on your writing.
Our next holiday is in Ibiza, renowned for its spiritual and creative energy. The retreat takes place in a several hundred year old converted finca (farmhouse), in the Northern part of the island, nestled in pine forest and surrounded by lush orchards. Accommodation is of a high standard and delicious, mostly organic and locally-grown food will be a real highlight of your stay.
This novel-writing course offers the perfect opportunity to gain invaluable advice from established writers and industry professionals, and is designed to benefit writers at any stage of development.
The course will be led by Carol Birch. Carol is the author of several books and was shortlisted for the Man Booker Prize in 2011 for her novel Jamrach's Menagerie. Jamrach was also a Richard and Judy Book Club Choice.
Canongate Books Editorial Director Francis Bickmore and Publicity Director Angela Robertson will give invaluable advice on how to submit your work, how to build your fanbase, and the various publishing options available to you.
Lucy Beresford, author, psychotherapist and columnist for Psychologies Magazine will teach you how to overcome writers block, get started and stay motivated.
